Climate Designer having climate conscious conversations with my clients

Honestly, I am only at the beginning of my transition towards creating a more sustainable design agency and in my personal life. The catalyst for me was ditching my car in 2017. I'm now immersing myself in the deep end of climate change culture - reading and listening to expert voices to help me spark a change in myself, clients and colleagues. My design background is firmly rooted in the education, science and research, arts and culture sectors. In my spare time I am working with a colleague to brand, design and develop a 'sustainable lifestyle platform' for the UK market (initially) which we are hoping to launch this Autumn/Winter.

I was briefed by Dutch client IHE Delft (UNESCO) to create the branding and design the website for the launch of their Water, Peace and Security Partnership. WPS develops innovative tools and services that help identify global water-related security risks, and allow stakeholders to take action at an early stage. In Washington DC on 27th May 2020 The Water, Peace and Security Partnership were awarded the 2020 Luxembourg Peace Prize for Outstanding Environmental Peace. The WPS website now has 27k active users based in 191 countries.

Amazon. A one-click wonder. The ultimate convenience. You dream it, they deliver it. Instant fulfilment. But fulfilment isn’t for everyone. Award-winning theatre company SharkLegs bring you Fulfilment. A show about the price people really pay for next-day delivery. I designed SharkLegs logo, posters, flyers and social media assets to promote their 'awareness raising' Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019 show 'Fulfilment'. The poster was shortlisted in the final 10 out of over 700 show posters. The show confronted workers rights and conditions inside Amazon's fulfilment centres, it also explored other climate connected themes of consumerism and commercialism.
