Communications Advisory Team
We are looking to build up our external comm channels, including our newsletter and social media accounts.
We would like to work with communication professionals on an advisory basis with the following goals:
Develop our LinkedIn strategy
Refine our Instagram strategy
Newsletter strategy
We’d like to build a team to support us with the above to ensure we have a cohesive communications strategy moving forward.
Looking for someone with 5+ years of experience managing social platforms and know the ins-and-outs of engagement.
Time commitment: Short-term, 3–4 1-hour calls
Podcast Audio & Video Editor
We are seeking a skilled Podcast Audio & Video Editor to support the production of our podcast, Doom & Bloom, across audio and video platforms. You will work within existing workflows, templates, and brand guidelines while bringing your own experience to help refine and improve our post-production process over time.
As an editor, you will be responsible for assembling full podcast episodes, editing multi-camera video, cleaning and balancing audio, tightening dialogue for clarity and pacing, and delivering platform-ready exports. You will also create short-form clips for social and promotional use, identifying compelling moments and producing vertical and square edits with captions.
This role collaborates closely with the host and production team to maintain the voice, tone, and storytelling style of the show, while helping improve workflows, organization, and turnaround times.
Required experience:
Proficiency in Descript for transcript-based editing and collaboration
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for final video editing and delivery
Strong audio editing skills and attention to pacing and clarity
Time commitment: Approximately 3–6 hours per episode, with a 6 month commitment preferred. Weekly FRI meeting with the team. Beyond that, scheduling is flexible, with deadlines aligned to episode releases.
Chapter & Hub Leadership Team
We are seeking to build a team to develop and manage our domestic and international Chapters & Hubs. You’ll work with existing documentation and onboarding systems, but we welcome your experience in developing better processes. The team as a whole will continue to build more resources and training materials to support our Chapter & Hub leaders.
We are seeking to build a team in the following roles:
Chapter & Hub Management Lead: You would be the point person interfacing with interested new Chapter & Hub leads, answering questions, onboarding, and managing the Chapter & Hub team.
Chapter & Hub Regional Leads: We are seeking three regional leads covering the Americas, EMEA, and Asian time zones to act as the point person and representative for Chapters & Hubs within each region, as well as facilitate occasional events for leads to connect with other Chapters & Hubs near them.
Chapters Month Coordinator: Support communication and coordination between our global Chapter & Hub leads and central team regarding our quarterly chapters week events.
Time commitment: About 1–2 hours per week with a 6-month commitment.
Fundraising Advisors
We are seeking support on fundraising. We have done a lot of research and outreach, but are new to the non-profit world and are looking to level up with the help of experienced fundraisers. Please note we are pursuing grants, foundations, donations, corporate giving, etc… and are not a startup pursuing VC funding.
This could be a light advisory role in the following capacities:
Grant research
Grant writing
Fundraising strategy
This could also mean a bigger role for those interested in supporting our organization in a meaningful way. In this case we are open to all forms of future compensation agreements as per industry standards.
Social Media Manager,
New Wave
The New Wave team is looking to launch and scale its own social media platforms. They are looking for a Social Media Manager to edit videos, increase engagement, and create ideas for future campaigns.
The Social Media Manager will have the following tasks:
Editing Videos – using a software of their choice, they will edit submitted videos to fit the brand image of New Wave (mostly use existing graphics, but there is a possibility of creating new ones)
Increasing engagement – using Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn (possibly more platforms), they will find creative ways of engaging with the design community and increasing the New Wave following
There is no minimum years of experience for this role, but we would like someone who uses Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and confident in their skills to increase engagement across all channels.
Time commitment: Indefinite, 1-hour calls per week, 1-3 hours of video editing per week
