Climate Designer using transdisciplinary approaches for climate change and circular economy

I'm a Mexican transdisciplinary design strategist expert in climate change, sustainable development, and circular economy. As a Fulbright grantee, I earned a Master in Design Engineering at Harvard, where I was part of the Climate Leaders Program, the Graduate Consortium on Energy and Environment, and the Circular Economy Symposium at Harvard. I was also part of the From Linear to Circular '20 Programme by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. I currently work for the UNFCCC in the Adaptation Division with a focus on Least Developed Countries. I have also worked as an Initiative Innovation Strategist at WWF’s Global Climate and Energy Practice, as a Professor of Design for Water at Tec de Monterrey, and in other roles.

I designed an African regional strategy on sustainable energy access for WWF’s Global Climate and Energy Practice. During the 3-month internship, I independently planned and conducted qualitative and quantitative research on 7 sub-Saharan African countries and produced three option papers as proposals for a high impact initiative. The regional Initiative is currently under implementation in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia.
